Numquam Satis {Never Enough}

Numquam Satis {Never Enough}

On the subject of: insatiable greed beyond avarice. My anger at the corpulence, the greed the “never will they be satisfied”… the phrase “When will enough ever be Enough?” just couldn’t communicate the outrage I have. So I chose the Latin – Numquam Satis.

It took roughly five days to trawl through a large collection of tabloid newspapers to find the lettering I wanted to suit the collage that would make up the text. And weeks to collect the newspapers. But not a single day went by when there wasn’t a story on the subject of the sleaze and avidity of a feral elite of corporate bankers, financiers, Privateers raping the NHS, MPs and Lords ripping the rest of us off and exploiting their high office in one way or another for the furtherence of their private wealth – People who occupy the top layers of the neo-feudal economic pyramid who display greed beyond avarice.

“The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.” – George Orwell, Animal Farm.

I think a huge influence on me for this piece also was performance artist Mark McGowan – The Artist Taxi Driver and his daily doses of righteous indignation at the state of things.
